The Santa Fe Vipassana Sangha has benefited from the rental of the Mountain Cloud Zen Center (MCZC) in Santa Fe for many years. Currently, all of our regular weekly sits and many of our shorter meditation retreats take place there.
Mountain Cloud Zen Center is located at 7241 Old Santa Fe Trail, Santa
Fe, New Mexico, approximately one mile south of the intersection with East Zia Road. From the downtown area, turn south on Old Santa Fe Trail at Paseo de Peralta. Continue on Old Santa Fe Trail for about 3.5 miles. Turn left into the Mountain Cloud Zen Center driveway at brown sign and drive up the dirt road to the zendo.
If coming north on Pecos Trail from I-25, turn east (right) onto Zia Road at the traffic light and drive .9 mile to the stop sign at Old Santa Fe Trail. Turn right (south) and go 1.1 miles to Mountain Cloud Zen Center. Turn left into the driveway as above.
The Santa Fe Vipassana Sangha has benefited from the rental of the Sangre de Cristo Center in Chupadero (just north of Santa Fe) for its ten-day retreats for many years. This facility of the De La Salle Christian Brothers is nestled in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. The 700 acre center is secluded, quiet, and lends itself to the practice of silent meditation.
